Bruised Hibiscus

A brutal murder in Trinidad sets into motion the events of this novel, which tells the story of two women, Rosa and Zuela, childhood friends who meet again when both are in their thirties. Both are miserably married, but Rosa is unable to cope with the horrors of her life, while Zuela manages, by drawing strength from her children, to find a better way to live.
